On Aug. 1, 2020, the first patients with mild COVID-19 symptoms arrived at a makeshift hospital set up near Hong Kong International Airport. It was located at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's first makeshift hospital is the world’s first infectious disease hospital of all-MIC negative pressure isolation wards, offering 816 units of negative pressure isolation hydraulic hospital beds (Customized by Medwish.com) with supporting medical facilities.

The floor area is 30000 m2, and the construction area is 44000 m2

Hong Kong's first makeshift hospital at the Asia World-Expo started operations on Aug 1 and partnered with Medwish.com as a key supplier.

The Fangcang shelter hospitals are an innovative concept in public health. In February of 2020, for the first time, they were used to combat the outbreak of COVID-19 in China. Fangcang hospitals were large, temporary hospitals that were rapidly constructed by turning existing public venues into health care facilities, such as stadiums and exhibition centers. Patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 were isolated from their families and communities, along with receiving medical care, disease monitoring, food, shelter, and social activities.

A group of people from Hong Kong's makeshift hospital visited Medwish.com's product experience center in October. During their visit, they were immersed in a 'showroom' that had a 'General ward', 'Operation room', 'Emergency room', and 'OBGYN room' where they were impressed by the products. Hong Kong Makeshift hospital was satisfied with Medwish.com’s products and services, such as a variety of products, short lead time, and well-established after-sales service system. A final deal between Hong Kong Makeshift hospital and Medwish.com was reached, which included purchasing products ranging from hydraulic hospital beds, specifically designed for Makeshift hospital's 800+ wards, to hydraulic stretchers.
